    Physical, sexual assault may raise Soldiers' suicide risk

    January 22, 2013 – Results of a new National Center for Veterans Studies research study involving active duty Air Force personnel found that certain types of physical and sexual assault are associated with increased risk for suicide attempts and suicidal thoughts.     January 17th, 2013: US military veterans are honored by all upon arriving back from war and it is agreed that these brave men and women should receive the best health care possible after putting their lives on the line. Now more than ever, thousands of troops suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, but in some cases don't get treatment in a timely manner. Doctor David Rudd with the National Center for Veteran's Studies of the University of Utah gives us his take on the issue.
